I know technology can be used for so much good because even though I had work all day, I was able to stream general conference live on my phone. Conference was filled with many themes in which our Prophet and Apostles and other Church leaders gave talks about super important things they feel we need to focus on. We have talks about the protection of children, the importance of family relations, missionary work, faith, enduring to the end, the importance of working to be charitable and forgiving, to repent for our sins but not feel we are unworthy or too worthless for Christ’s Atonement. The announcement of lowering of minimum ages for Missionaries (boys18) and (girls19) was really amazing to hear! I was also so excited to hear that they are building a temple in Arequipa Peru! That’s where I was born and where most of my family still lives. I immediately called my dad when I found out to share the news. Conference definitely reminds me that I really do want to work harder at being a better person and LDS member. I want to get married in the temple to a worthy Priesthood holder one day. Also it reminds me that no matter how much i mess up, God loves me and wants to help me get through life’s trials so that I can return to Him in Heaven. I really am grateful for the Gospel, I know I’d feel lost and empty without it, because that’s how I’ve felt when I live selfishly and focus only on myself. Even just remembering to pray to God every night makes me feel like my life is worth something and I have a reason for being alive, even though I don’t exactly know what my specific purpose is yet, I know I matter to my heavenly father. I can always count on President Uchtdorf to say the exact words I need to hear. I had so many feelings throughout the wonderful words that were spoken and my testimony grew in knowing that President Monson is a living prophet who has been given modern day revelations, to share with us.
